RECYCLED POLYESTER: PATAGONIA recycles soda bottles, factory fabric scraps and used clothing to make polyester clothing. Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a source of raw materials. It curbs discards, thereby prolonging landfill life and reducing toxic emissions from incinerators. |

DWR: The durable water-repellent (DWR) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases drying times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job. |

PRIMALOFT GOLD: Modelled after PrimaLoft’s highest-performing synthetic insulation, Gold Eco provides excellent warmth for its weight and maintains 98% thermal efficiency when wet, all while using 55% post-consumer recycled fibres. With a diameter smaller than a human hair, PrimaLoft® filling microfibres create a compact collection of air pockets that store body heat, block cold and provide an excellent weight-to-heat ratio. The ultra-thin microfibres in PrimaLoft® filling are designed to resist water, to keep the filling dry and retain its insulating properties The ultra-fine fibres create a tight surface tension that won’t allow water to pass through. The unique, permanent fibre finishes repel water and keep the insulation drier, even if water is forced into the insulation. PrimaLoft® fibres have been designed to be ultra-fine and to imitate the softness of down. Finally, the ultra-fine PrimaLoft® filling mimics the compressibility of down and is breathable, allowing moisture vapour to be transported through the fibres and away from the skin. |
